Estée Lauder Idealist - Pore minimizing skin refinisher

Hi ALL!! I love the Estée Lauder brand but as we all know.. they're products are a bit pricey. So here's my review on the Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher and how well it worked for me :)

 

 

- Claims: Pores appear 1/3 smaller instantly; See a 69% reduction in the look of pores in 4 weeks; Repairs the look of uneven skin texture, flakiness and roughness; Smooth it on and instantly enjoy that soft, seamless, silky feeling; See more clarity and luminosity; & gives skin an overall more even tone.

- 30ml bottle retails for approx. AUD$100

- 50 & 75ml bottles also available

- Apply every morning on clean skin followed by moisturiser

- I have used this product for just over a month now





 Although a 30ml bottle can seem quite small, this product goes a long way with only 1 to 1.5 pumps enough to apply on the face. This product is recommened to be applied on a clean face in the morning underneath your daily moisturiser - I find this method works really well as a primer! However...

 

I personally prefer to apply the serum after my shower in the evening/at night. This way, I find that the product absorbs into the skin much better. I then leave it to absorb for a 2-3 minutes and then apply moisturiser ('Olay' if you're interested lol.. but any moisturiser will do).

Even though your skin does feel instantly soft and silky, it really does need moisuriser for its maximum effect. When I wake up, my face feels soooo hydrated, nourished and plump! So yes, I can agree with it's claims about smoother silky skin etc and it does repair flaky and rough skin - I have eczema resulting in extremely dry, sensitive skin and this product does not iritate me which is a huge plus. It almost 'soothes' my eczema (this may be different for others though so be cautious if you have a skin condition).

 

Sadly, I havn't noticed a remarkable improvement in uneven skin tone. Also, I feel like this product acts more like a pore 'filler' thereby minimizing the appearance of pores (rather than minimizing pores for good). The product is claimed to reduce the look of pores in 4 weeks & after a month, this hasn't worked for me but I hope with longer use I might see a change!

 

You CAN use this product everyday but honestly.. every 2nd day is fine (especially at 100 bucks a pop)!
