Witch hazel: my experience

Hi ALL! I've been using witch hazel for a few months and it is now one of my favourite products! I personally use this product as a cleanser/toner/makeup remover. It can also be used for: spots & blemishes, varicose/spider veins, cuts, bruises and bug bites.

I have extremely sensitive skin and even 'sensitive' makeup removers iritate me. I use this as a makeup remover by mixing 3 parts witch hazel and 1 part extra virgin olive oil in a bottle.. Shake it up and remove makeup! This is optional but I then use plain old witch hazel on a cotton pad to further clean the skin. It leaves my skin feeling soft and fresh. I've also noticed it minimizes my pores and clears up spots and blemishes. I've introduced this product to my sister as she has spider veins on her legs. Applied directly twice a day.. they disappeared! She's very happy!

Word of warning: for the first couple of uses this product felt a little harsh on my skin but after continuous use, I got accustomed to it. Also, this stuff smells a little bad (especially when mixed with extra virgin olive oil) but your skin will thank you for it! *Keeping in mind that everyone's skin is different and if you have a negative reaction, discontinue use!

- I live in Australia and the ONLY brand I've found is by "T.N. Dickinson's" in 240ml bottles
- This retails for approx. $6 - $8
- I've researched and witch hazel seems to be more readily available (& in larger bottles) online and in other countries
- Can be bought at Priceline, major supermarkets, pharmacies, Big W
